Het houten huis is gebouwd, of liever gezegd in elkaar gezet in 1920.
Het heeft een plattegrond van ca. 7.5 x 7.5 mtr. en is op een trasraam van bruine klinkers geplaatst waardoor het vrij hoog staat. Het huis is van het type houtmassiefbouw.
De aftimmering is van naaldhout. De kleurstelling is bijzonder; de horizontale elementen zijn Ossenbloedrood, de verticale elementen Okergeel en de raampartijen zijn met Loodwit geschilderd.
De woning heeft één bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een overstekende wolfskap. Het dak is met riet gedekt. De eerste woonlaag is betimmerd met horizontale planken in potdekselstijl, ze zijn deels uitgefreesd waardoor de verticale planken in de uitsparingen passen en de stijlen afdekken. Tussen de stijlen zijn 12-ruitsvensters geplaatst, ritmisch geleed door deze stijlen.
De geveltoppen bestaan uit okergele verticale rabatdelen. Deze verspringen in lengte waardoor er een kartelrand ontstaat die iets oversteekt. De kartelrand wordt geaccentueerd door een witte bies. De luiken en de buitendeuren zijn in Amsterdamsgroen geschilderd met witte accenten.
De houtverbindingen zijn in de fabriek gemerkt met Romeinse cijfers. Vroeger werd alles ter plekke op maat gemaakt waardoor de diverse onderdelen niet uitwisselbaar waren.

Our wooden house is build or rather said prefabricated in the year 1920. It has a surface area which measures approximately 57 m2. The house is build on a foundation of brown clinkers, through this kind of building this house is higher than normal. The house is of a wooden mass construction building type.
De timber from which the house is build is European Pine. The colours used, are very special; the horizontal elements are oxblood red, the vertical elements are ochre yellow and the window parts are lead white.
The house has one building layer and a roof storey under a wolves roofing. The roof is reed thatched. The woodworks of the first layer of the house exist out of horizontal wooden boards in a pot-lid style. The wooden boards are partly milled so the vertical wooden boards fit into the free space and cover the posts, between the posts are placed twelve squires of draught board, rhythmical joined by these posts. The front gables exists out of vertical ochre yellow wooden boards, these boards have a difference in length so you create a milled edge with somewhat of an overlap. The milled edge is highlighted by a white border. The shutters and outer doors are painted in “Amsterdam green” with some white accents.
The factory made wooden parts are marked with Roman figures. In the early days most of the parts used where handmade, so not all parts are interchangeable.
Since the year 1998 the house is registered as a national monument.

La casa è di legno di pino e fabbricata nel anno 1920.
La superficie è 7,5 x 7,5 m. La casa è stata fabbricata sopra un muro di mattoni e cosi sta alto, e di tipo di legno massiccio con chiodi di legno e un tetto di canna.
I colori sono speciali. Lato esteriore ha tavole orizzontali del colore sanguerosso e le tavole verticali del colore giallo d’ocra e le finestre sono bianche. Le facciate al fronte e dietro hanno tavole verticali col colore giallo d’ocra e con orlo d’intraccatura e messo l’accento su un giunco bianco. Le persiane e le porte di fuori sono verniciate in ‘Amsterdams’verde con accenti bianchi.
I collegamenti di legno erano marcati con numeri Romani, cosi ogni dettaglio era particolare.
